Structural analysis reveals that they consist of helical {VO3}nn – chains bridged through {M(dpa)}2+ fragments into 2D layered structures. The left and right {VO3}nn – helical chains appear alternately in the different oxide layers for 1, but these are alternated in the same layer for 2.
