Three new dinuclear copper(II) compounds: [Cu2(dpyam)2(mu1,1-N3)2(O2CH)2] (1), [Cu2(dpyam)2(mu1,1-N3)2(O2CCH3)2] (2) and [Cu2(dpyam)2(mu1,1-N3)2(O2CCH2CH3)2] (3) have been synthesized and characterized crystallographically and spectroscopically. Compounds 1, 2 and 3 consist of a dinuclear unit in which both Cu(II) ions are connected through two end-on azido bridges providing a distorted square pyramidal geometry with a CuN4O chromophore. The Cu?Cu separations are 3.195, 3.200 and 3.247 A? for compounds 1, 2 and 3, respectively. The magnetic properties have been measured in the range from 5 to 300 K and correlated with the molecular structures. All three compounds show a medium to weak ferromagnetic exchange interactions between the Cu(II) ions dominated by the bridging azido ligands, with a singlet-triplet splitting (J) of 63.3, 63.8 and 5.1 cm-1, for compounds 1, 2 and 3, respectively. A large zero-field splitting of about 0.4 cm-1 is observed in the EPR for compounds 1 and 2.

Application of 10034-20-5, Chemistry can be defined as the study of matter and the changes it undergoes. You’ll sometimes hear it called the central science because it is the connection between physics and all the other sciences, starting with biology.10034-20-5, Name is (2S,3R,4R,5S,6R)-6-(Acetoxymethyl)-3-aminotetrahydro-2H-pyran-2,4,5-triyl triacetate hydrochloride, molecular formula is C14H22ClNO9. In a patent, introducing its new discovery.

This invention relates to a unique process for the preparation of polymeric nanoparticles with target molecules bonded to the surface of the particles and having sizes of up to 1000nm, preferably Inm to 400nm, more preferably Inm to 200nm, that are dispersed homogeneously in aqueous solution. To accomplish the above objective, the polymeric nanoparticles of the subject invention are prepared using a novel technique of microemulsion polymerization. The resulting aqueous solution of polymeric nanoparticles is comprised of about 1 to 100 parts per weight of water or buffer, about 1 to 80 parts per weight of polymeric nanoparticles, which the bio-active molecules are conjugated, about 0.001 to 10 parts per weight of emulsifier, and about 0.00001 to 5 parts per weight of radical initiator based on the weight of the solution. In the method of this invention, the target drug/target substance is covalently bonded to the polymeric nanoparticles to secure them from outer intervention in vivo or cell culture in vitro until they are exposed at the target site within the cell.

The complete assignments of the 1H and 13C NMR spectra of 2+ (n=0-2) have been carried out on the basis of proton-proton coupling constants, H-H COSY, C-H COSY, and the aromatic ring-current effects of the ligand. The observed aromatic ring-current shifts of the assigned 1H NMR signals were compared with the calculated ones by using a current-loop model. The flapping of the Hdpa ligands showed that the structures of 2+, 2+, and 2+ in solution have apparent C2, C2, and D3 symmetries, respectively.

Synthesis, characterization and biological aspects of novel five-coordinated dimeric-Cu(II) systems

The structural and spectroscopic properties of novel five-coordinated dimeric-Cu(II) system have been investigated. The biocidal activities of all eight compounds, ligands, cupric nitrate and standard drugs against six bacteria and three fungi were determined. The DNA interaction activity of complexes was studied using spectrophotometry and electrophoresis. The superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activity of the complexes was compared with previously reported monomeric- and dimeric copper complexes. The results support the five-coordinated dimeric square pyramidal geometry for the quinolone-Cu(II) system.

Coordination polymers of Zinc with (eta6-benzenecarboxylate) chromium tricarbonyl

Different coordination polymers were obtained by the reaction of (benzoic acid) chromium tricarbonyl with zinc acetate in the presence of various organic dipyridyl linkers. Depending on the nature of the linker either monomeric or polymeric compounds were obtained. Reactions of (benzoic acid) chromium tricarbonyl with zinc acetate and bidentate pyridine based ligands 4,4?-bipyridine (4,4?-bipy), 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane (bpe), 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane (tmdp), and 2,2?dipyridylamine (DPA) afforded the novel coordination polymers [Zn[{eta6-C6H 5COO}Cr(CO)3]2(4,4?-bipy)]n, [Zn[{eta6-C6H5COO}Cr(CO)3] 2(bpe)]n, [Zn[{eta6-C6H 5COO}Cr(CO)3]2(tmdp)}]n, and the monomeric complex [Zn[{eta6-C6H5COO}Cr(CO) 3]2(DPA)]. The solid state structures of all compounds were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. By using 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane as a linker a chiral infinite helical structure was formed in the solid state. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) studies showed that upon heating the carbonyl groups of the {eta6-C6H 5COO}Cr(CO)3 anion were lost before the organic ligand sphere was thermally decomposed.

Hydrothermal synthesis, crystal structures and effect of non bonding interactions in crystal packing of two mixed-ligand metal complexes with glycolato and 2,2?-dipiridylamine and with benzilato and imidazole

Two new mixed-ligand complexes [Fe(HG)2(dipyam)] (1) (HG = glycolato and dipyam = 2,2?-dipyridylamine) and [Cu(HB) 2(im)2]·2H2O (2) (HB = benzilato and im = imidazole) have been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterised by X-ray diffraction. In both cases the metallic centre is in an octahedral environment, strongly distorted in 2 (4+2 coordination). The alpha-hydroxycarboxylato ligands (glycolato or benzilato) present different coordinative behaviour, bidentade chelate through the hydroxyl oxygen and one carboxy oxygen in 1 and through the two oxygen atoms of the carboxylate group in 2. The complexes are extended into 2D frameworks through hydrogen bonding and pi…pi or C-H…pi interactions. The complexes were also characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR and UV-vis spectroscopy and room temperature magnetic measurements.

Metal-metal versus metal-ligand bonding in dimetal compounds with tridentate ligands

Reaction of a ‘VCl2·nTHF’ solution, prepared by the reduction of VCl3(THF)3 with NaBEt3H in THF, and Lidpa (dpa = the anion of 2,2′-dipyridylamine) in a mixture of THF/toluene at reflux temperature yields the bioctahedral V2(dpa)4·THF (1) compound. A similar reaction performed in THF at 0C gave [V2(dpa)3(mu-Cl)2Li2(THF)6][BEt3H] (2), in which a dpa ligand adopts a novel ‘doubly-chelating/bridging’ coordination mode. Compound 2 reacts with CH2Cl2 giving V2(dpa)3Cl2·2CH2Cl2 (3), a valence delocalized V(II)···V(6III) bioctahedral complex. In all three complexes, the formation of four additional metal-ligand bonds is favored over the formation of a V-V bond.
